Brother MFC-J775DW Manual, User Guide, and Setup

The Brother MFC-J775DW color inkjet all-in-one printer is a great choice for lightweight use in a miniature or home office. It leverages Brother’s high-yield INKvestment cartridges to save significant ink costs. The printer is more economical because of its low purchase price, by far the lowest of any INKvestment printer. However, it has very few feature sets. The printer has a basic square appearance. The Brother is 16.5 inches wide and 6.8 inches high, which is about 18 inches wide and 14 inches taller. This small 1.8-inch touch screen is not a touch screen, and its appearance is absolutely practical. To make menu selections, use a large number of physical buttons. There is a four-way control button and a 10-key numeric keypad as well as dedicated buttons such as color and black and white copy/print buttons. The buttons are responsive. However, the choice is not always intuitive. For example, you can’t simply press the color button for a color copy. You must press the copy and then press the color button. When you make a selection in the Settings menu, do not press the OK button in the middle of the four-way control key to make the selection. There is a tray that can handle up to the size of the paper. There is no photo tray. The tray is located at the top of the feed tray. Pull out the tray to load the paper. However, because the dents are at the bottom of the feed box and are small, it can be difficult to capture. The tray and the document feeder on the scanner cover are very fragile. Brother MFC-J775DW prints five pages of text in 32.3 seconds (9.3 pages per minute). Scanning 8 x 10 inches of photos are not automatically cropped. The aspect ratio of the image is approximately the size of a letter, with white borders around both sides of the photo. The USB port is hidden inside the printer. You must pass the USB cable through a channel in the chassis that occupies approximately 14 inches of cable length. You can connect your device wirelessly or use Wi-Fi Direct. There are no Ethernet ports. For smart devices, there’s the iPrint-Scan app. The printer is compatible with The Mopria printing service, Google Cloud Print, and Cortado Workplace. It’s easy to set up, just remove a few pieces of tape and plastic cover from the cartridge carrier. The printer then went through the setup process. The Brother MFC-J775DW is equipped with a DVD-ROM for installing software. However, if you need to download it, you’ll need to navigate to the support section of the Brother website and search for the model number (the product page doesn’t provide downloads). In addition to the full package, including PaperPort, you’ll find separately downloaded print drivers, scanner drivers, and network connection repair tools. Wireless settings are easiest when using the alternative setup methods outlined in the Quick Installation Guide.
