Other factors, such as excellent photo quality, a wide range of connectivity options, and the possible printing or scanning from memory cards and USB thumb drives, make them more attractive. the printer performs at 4.6 pages per minute (ppm) on our business application suite (using QualityLogic’s hardware and software), The operating cost is low and the large volume cartridges used in mid-price inkjets. Its black cartridge can print about 2,400 pages. Each color cartridge can hold about 1,200 pages. The overall output quality of the Brother MFC-J985DW is the average for inkjet printers, with text and graphics slightly lower than standard colors and photos higher than standard colors. Still, for a text that requires small fonts, it should be good enough for any business purpose. Graphics may already be good enough for most internal business use, and may be useful for PowerPoint handouts, but not for formal reports. The printer does a good role in distinguishing similar shaded areas. Very thin colored lines are almost invisible, and many backgrounds appear slightly faded. Most of our test prints, including monochrome images, work well. One problem to note is the lack of detail in some bright areas. The Brother MFC-J985DW can be connected to a PC via a USB cable or to a network via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. It can also be directly equivalent to compatible devices via Wi-Fi Direct or Near Field Communication (NFC). You can send scans directly from the printer to websites, cloud storage, and services such as Facebook, Picasa, Flickr, Google Drive, Evernote, Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, and OneNote.
