This is a cost-effective multi-function laser printer ideal for busy offices or small studios. The Brother MFC-L5800DW is a monochrome all-in-one printer for small or home offices that are relatively fast and performs well overall, plus convenience and productivity. The printer measures 24.8 x 23.6 x 20.7 inches (HWD), weighs 37.9 pounds, and is very clumsy (noisy), and cannot share a desktop with you. These advantages, combined with a competitively low cost per page, make them highly valuable, but the quality of images and graphics is just that, and the printer lacks a two-sided automatic document feeder (ADF). Directly below the ADF, you’ll find a 3.7-inch color touch screen with a context-sensitive control panel that can be self-configured according to the current task, depending on the function you choose. Print and copy up to 42 pages per minute with dual-sided printing, and professional print/copy/scan documents are easy to print/copy/scan. Users can share printers with others through their built-in Ethernet connection, AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, Wi-Fi Direct, and the Brother iPrint and Scan application. Wi-Fi Direct can also be used for point-to-point routerless connections, where you can scan and print from several popular cloud sites, including Dropbox, Google Drive, Evernote, and OneNote. However, keep in mind that while connecting directly to a PC over a USB connection is fast and easy, it is not directly connected to the Internet, so this Brother MFC-L5800DW printer and all other printers need to provide access to cloud sites and other printers.
