The Canon PIXMA G6020 MegaTank All-in-One Printer is designed for mid-volume printing and copying in the home office. It lacks an automatic document feeder (ADF) for scanning and copying multi-page documents, but its spacious feed tray, powerful connectivity options, and other handy properties are enough to satisfy the editing options of our entry-level color home office. The printer measures 7.7 x 15.9 x 14.6 inches (HWD) and weighs 17.8 pounds, thanks in large part to the latter’s 20-page automatic document feeder (ADF). The panel includes buttons for scanning and copying, navigation keys to scroll through the drill-down menu on a three-line monochrome text display, and some status LCDs. The printer has a feed capacity of 350 sheets, divided into 250 main trays and 100 feed boxes pulled from the back, In addition to standard-size paper, the printer’s rear tray can hold up to 20 snapshot-sized premium photo paper, 20 Size 10 envelopes, and several other types and sizes of paper. The entry-level Canon PIXMA G6020 is a high-capacity ink all-in-one printer that delivers great output for your home office. And even better, over time, it’s very expensive to use. Canon has set the printer’s maximum monthly work cycle at 5,000 pages, but the company has yet to release a recommended monthly workload. The printer can be connected to your network, PC, and mobile device via Ethernet up to 100Base-T (also known as Fast Internet) or Wi-Fi 802.11 b /g/n, or via USB 2.0. It also provides Wi-Fi Direct, a re-network protocol. Other mobile options include the Canon Print App, which supports Android, iOS, Fire OS, and Windows 10 Mobile. Third-party mobile options include Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, Mopria Print Service, and Pixel Cloud Link. And while you don’t have a USB port for printing and scanning from a USB thumb drive to a USB thumb drive, the Canon PIXMA G6020’s USB printer port does support PictBridge, while printing from a Canon PictBridge-compatible camera and video recorder supports Wireless PictBridge. A comprehensive software suite includes a wide range of productivity solutions for Windows and macOS. The package includes Easy-PhotoPrint Editor (a cross-platform utility that allows you to edit, enhance effects and other filters and apply them to scanned photos) and PosterArtist Lite (Windows poster layout and print program).
