The entry-level Canon PIXMA TR7520 wireless printer is designed for use in the light home and home offices. As expected with all-in-ones at this price, it’s a bit slow and expensive to use, but it has a powerful feature set and prints especially well, especially for photos. Plus, like some of the other printers we’ve seen recently, it includes support for Amazon’s Alexa for hands-free printing. This is a strong competitor for home office users who need cheap AIO for lightweight printing, copying, and scanning. Entry-level home printers like this printer are idle most of the time until you call and ask them to occasionally print out photos, a few pages of documents here, and one or two copies there. As a result, Canon and its competitors design them to take up as a little desk or table real estate as possible. For this reason, the printer measures 7.5 x 17.7 x 11.7 inches (HWD) and weighs 13 pounds, in line with its low-cost competitors. For paper handling, the printer has a 100-sheet tray with a manual double-sided automatic file feeder (ADF) that can hold up to 20 Let letter-sized sheets of paper. On the other hand, its peer, the Canon PIXMA TR7520, can hold up to 200 sheets of paper and distribute them between 100 front and rear trays. Canon does not publish monthly work cycles and recommends that its consumer inkjet printers use monthly print volume specifications. With low paper capacity and high operating costs (and rising costs), you shouldn’t rely on this AIO for hundreds of pages per month. Basic connections include USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi and provide drivers for Android, Fire OS, iOS, and Windows 10 Mobile. Roaming tasks, configuration, and navigation are handled from a very basic control panel. In addition to standard Canon PIXMA TR7520 printer drivers, the printer package includes the following convenient and efficient software: Scan Utility for Windows and Mac platforms, Scan Utility Lite for Macs, Easy-PhotoPrint Editor, main settings, My Printer, and Quick menu for easy access to printer applications and settings. You can also use the Canon Print and Easy-PhotoPrint Editor apps to print, scan, and process images from your Android or iOS device. Canon is also starting to include smart home features through built-in support for Amazon’s Alexa and technical support for Google Assistant and other automation services through IFTT.
