The configuration of the Canon PIXMA TR8520 and the start and start of roaming tasks (such as copying or printing from a cloud site) are handled by the spacious and easy-to-use 4.3-inch color touch LCD. In addition to the power button, the LCD also includes the entire control panel. Even so, there is no shortage of small printers in these categories today. But this is partly because many of them do not have an automatic document feeder (ADF) for sending multi-page documents to the scanner. In contrast, the printer is equipped with a 20-page ADF, although none of them supports automatic duplex printing to scan and copy multi-page duplex documents. In terms of paper handling, The printer can hold up to 200 sheets of paper, divided into the front, the paper tray under the control panel, and the 200-sheet upright paper tray at the rear of the chassis. You can also use the rear tray to feed up to 20 sheets of high-quality photo paper to the printer. In addition to the standard four mold-based printing inks (cyan, magenta, yellow and black (CMYK)), you can also use pigment black ink to darken the text and black areas in the photo and increase the color gamut (range). Setting up the Canon PIXMA TR8520 is simple and straightforward, although it does require one or two more steps compared to most other inkjet AIOs. Even so, after plugging it in and turning it on, the printer’s large control panel will take you through every process-from unpacking and loading five ink cartridges to filling two paper trays. No misunderstandings will be left during the installation process. In addition to the printer and scanner drivers, the software package also includes scanning utility, Canon’s very powerful scanner front end; printer assistant; image display; my image garden (a collection of filters and utilities, including Easy-PhotoPrint, Creative Filters, Full HD movie printing, image correction/enhancement, image cropping, and red-eye correction); and “Quick Menu” (a collection of icons located in the lower right corner of the screen for quick access to the functions listed here and other functions). As the flagship TR series model, Canon PIXMA TR8520 has the most connection options. These include Wi-Fi; Ethernet; wired and wireless PictBridge for printing photos from certain Canon cameras; USB port; SD card slot; and Bluetooth 4.0 for easy printing from mobile devices. Other mobile printing options include Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, Canon Print app (for printing emails), Pixma Cloud Link, etc.
