Epson EcoTank ET-M2170 may change your home business. Yes, it’s a basic, simple monochrome inkjet business printer that’s slower than a laser printer. it comes with tons of ink and offers less than a quarter of the running cost, far less than its competitors. It does all this while generating beautiful-looking text, grayscale graphics, and photos. The printer is a stand-alone member of Epson’s recently launched line of three monochrome EcoTank inkjet printers, or for printing only. Instead of traditional cartridges, you can fill internal storage containers with bottles that are relatively indispensable and very low cost per page. The Epson EcoTank ET-M2170 measures 5.9 x 14.8 x 13.7 inches (HWD), with only a small desk space. The printer is a compact printer designed to receive documents from your PC or mobile device. Its simple control panel reflects this. The paper handling on the printer consists of a 250-page main tray on the front and a 1-page hand tray on the back. The maximum monthly space ratio for the printer is 20,000 pages, and the recommended monthly print volume is 1,500 pages. Epson has set the printer’s print speed at 20 pages per minute (ppm), a typical entry-level speed for monochrome business printers. Epson EcoTank ET-M2170’s connectivity is standard for commercial printers. These interfaces include Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / ns, Ethernet up to 1000Mbps, a USB 2.0 connection to a single PC, and Wi-Fi Direct. The last is the point-to-point network protocol, which allows you to connect mobile devices to printers without connecting them to printers or to local area networks (LANs) or intermediate routers. Other mobile connectivity options include Epson iPrint (iOS and Android), Epson Remote Print, Apple AirPrint, and Google Cloud Print. There are no ports for printing from the USB thumb drive. In most cases, however, the printer connectivity option should provide enough options for everyone in your small or home office.
