The Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 is about 10 cm wider than the equivalent A4 device. Epson has apparently tried to shrink the printer, even rotating the cartridge 90 degrees so that six cartridges are stacked from front to back instead of the typical left-to-right. The printer features traditional black, cyan, maroon, and yellow settings, complemented by red and gray. The former provides improved color fields on plain and photo paper, while the latter provides fine tonal control for photos. Although it focuses on photos, the printer still covers most of the basics. In the base, there is a 200-sheet tray for A4-sized paper, while the rear feeder handles anything from 6 x 4 inches to A3 plus media. There is no memory card slot, but you can connect wirelessly from your smartphone or another device. Direct control is paired with direction and selection buttons via a small 6.1 cm screen. Remove the print job and the Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 printer motor from its paper tray and open it quietly. On plain paper, it’s not particularly fast, reaching only 9.3 pages per minute (ppm). The printer is even more impressive on photo paper, taking six postcard-sized photos in about 90 seconds and two 10 x 8 inches in 5 minutes. Wirelessly supports mainstream cloud services such as AirPrint and Google Cloud Print for faster and easier use. Overall, Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 is a high-quality color inkjet printer.
