The same PrecisionCore technology in Epson’s other laser-grade inkjets powers the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4820’s print engine and the model works well, especially in complex graphics-intensive documents. When printing the Plain Text section of the new business application suite, we timed it at 20 pages per minute (ppm) to match the rated speed, and the hissing sound (for inkjet printers) was output in 7 seconds. The average speed of the printer is 14.1 ppm when printing our complete Business Suite, which includes the Word documents above as well as PDF, PowerPoint, and Excel files. The Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4820 has a full range of wired and wireless connectivity options. It can be connected to the computer via USB 2.0, or to the LAN via Ethernet or 802.11 b /g/n Wi-Fi. It supports Wi-Fi Direct and NFC (Near Field Communication), both of which allow you to establish a point-to-point connection directly to your mobile device, which can be achieved by touching a compatible (Android) phone or tablet to a location. The Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4820 supports printing via the Epson iPrint app (for iOS or Android), Google Cloud Print, Epson Creative Print, Epson Scan to Cloud, Epson Email Print, and Epson Remote Print.
